WHERE ENERGY STRATEGY MEETS FINAnCIAL FEASIBILITY
Using IESVE rendering software, we re-create how your building is currently using energy down to the wall assembly and thermostat setpoint. Our modeling for both ASHRAE 2 and 3 audits go beyond compliance and shows how adjustments will affect energy and ROI.
From HVAC to Hydronics, we design integrated systems that maximize efficiency without oversizing. Every design is tailored, every specification and setpoint is intentional.
Early stage planning includes subcontractor bidding, scope detailing, master budget/schedule integration, consultant hiring and rebate guidance to offset project costs.
Oversight that brings together both the engineer’s calculations and owner’s need for cost control. We manage the build phase with surgical precision, ensuring nothing is lost in translation.
At CleanTech Engineering we don’t just consult, we model, forecast, verify, and build.
Our team brings decades of hands-on experience across construction, mechanical engineering, and energy optimization. We’ve worn the boots, managed the builds, and driven performance long after the ribbon cuttings.
After decades in traditional construction and general contracting, we saw a gap: Projects that looked good on paper but fell apart in real-world performance. That’s why today, every solution we design starts with detailed energy modeling, financial forecasting, and pro forma analysis before a single bolt hits the blueprint.
We don’t guess. We don’t gamble. We model it, verify it, and engineer it to perform from day one.
Our mission is simple: Engineer smarter buildings that deliver higher returns, lower operating costs, and proven, lasting value. From first model to final walkthrough, we engineer results, not theory.
Efficiency isn’t a trend, it’s an investment strategy. It’s your future cash flow, and it’s our blueprint.

We design with precision, so your buildings run at peak efficiency from day one. Our solutions reduce upfront costs, ongoing energy expenses, minimize waste, and optimize performance-without compromise.
1. Turnkey execution from energy strategy to construction closeout.
2. Deep integration of energy modeling and financial forecasting.
3. Trusted by owners and developers who need real-world results, not theory.
4. We bring an owner’s mindset to every project, identifying solutions that pay for themselves over specific time periods.
5. Our designs don’t just meet standards, they anticipate them, ensuring your building performs now and adapts later
6. We’ve been the contractor in the field before becoming the engineer in the office, so we design for installation so it’s build it right the first time
Yes, we begin by verifying a building’s square footage, use, parking, meters and
EnergyStar Portfolio Manager to ensure your building is taking full advantage of any
allowances that your jurisdiction allows.
Not necessarily, a building’s ‘compliance’ in this case is referring to prior year’s
benchmarking and reporting data, not a building’s EUI. A building can have a compliant
status, but not on track to achieve its EUI targets and liable for fines.
This is short for Energy Use Intensity and is displayed in in the form of a score, such as44.2 derived from dividing the total kW by the building square footage (to outside edge of exterior wall). The lower the EUI, the more efficient the energy use for the building.
Yes, we strongly advise to get your building benchmarked properly and develop a strategy to achieve the targets, then wait until the timing is right both financially and with the mandates. Whatever your course, DO NOT simply stick your head in the sand and assume the programs will go away.
